Importance of Heavy Duty Construction in a CNC Plasma Cutting System

Models and Sizes page picture

Anyone that has spent any time in a metal fabrication shop knows that it is not exactly a delicate environment.  Working with plasma cutters, heavy duty sheets of metal and other materials, routing, welding – the environment just screams for heavy duty equipment that can withstand the elements.  There are many economically priced CNC plasma cutting systems but they may not be complete systems.  They may not come with things like software or all the features that you need to make cutting possible and easy.  Or, the economical pricing may come at the sacrifice of quality durable construction.

When a machine is heavy-duty, robust and durable, it will provide far better cut quality and be capable of withstanding the test of time and use.  At Tactical CNC, we strive to provide our clients with economically-priced CNC plasma cutters that are also an outstanding value because they are exceptionally durable and heavy-duty.  Every component of our CNC plasma cutting systems was chosen with durability and quality performance in mind – no cheap or flimsy materials are ever used.  The table base is made of heavy gauge steel that has been welded to be water tight.  The table slats and holders are strong and designed to last longer.  All of our systems have heavy duty adjustable table legs for flexibility yet strength.  Our gantry is constructed of heavy wall engineered aluminum that is designed to be rigid.  The mounting faces are also machined for accuracy and precision.  The custom engineered steel carriage is fully enclosed and protects the Y and Z axis motors.  The cable harness and wiring is enclosed in Dynatrec™ cable tracks for smooth and friction free movement.  The heavy duty end trucks are constructed of steel and they house the X axis drive motor and bearings.  Our CNC plasma cutters come with Bishop Wisecarver’ patented Dual Vee™ bearings on the X and Y axis.  We chose these because they have been proven to provide smooth and friction free movement in industrial applications.  The Z axis movement of the torch lifter is done with precision guides and linear bearings that have been fully enclosed for the most precise and smooth motion.  Our gear box is designed to provide zero backlash.  And, the motor drives are heavy-duty, digital high-speed NEMA 32 motor drives. We know that the metal fabrication sector is a rough place for equipment and that is why we want to make sure your investment is capable of withstanding such an environment and capable of providing you years of exceptional service.
